Let us name our favorite Hosta species and why.
I particularly like pycnophylla--and NOT because of the white back. {I simply
cannot understand why anyone thinks such is desirable.} I like this one for
its stateliness and pale-green foliage.
H. pachyscapa---such a handsome leaf! AND the flowers! Superb!
H. okamotoi---the name!
H. nigrescens--the color and the upright growth.
All of the vars. and formas of H. kikutii---flowers and morphology.
