seedgermination in the pod

You told you had a very dry and warm ( temp?) sept okt. Here
sept/okt was very wet and cold 10C 50 F). Yet I did not have a
single seed germinated in the pod.  I did have some last year in
plants I had placed inside = warm ! My explanation is: Low temp
induces a germination inhibitor cq high temp destroys the
germination inhibitor. With your high temp no inhibitor is  formed or
it is destroyed so they germinate in the pod.
