Re: The Importance of Politics

Kris, I am thankful for people like your husband and your friend's husband.
There always have been and always will be people who need assistance and not
all of us are compelled to fill that need. I contribute in other ways.
Heaven knows there is enough to keep us all busy in whatever we chose to do.

About politics, well they are important too. Politics are vitally important
to this nation for many reasons and I believe this discussion could be
endless. Maybe we are doing something that has needed done for quite some
time now. Wake up America. I believe we have become complacent in our
feeling of being safe living here in America and the thought many Americans
have is "the government will take care of it". I believe that is why we
have a problem today with many, or most, or all, (who really knows)
politicians and their lust for power and money. I do however believe that
there are many good people who run for office and are overcome with the
magnitude of the job and the forces they are up against to get anything
done. They too become swept up in the deal. I don't know when, how, where
it will happen but I truly believe if it continues as it is going that
Americans will have to fight to continue our way of life in this country.
