Gerry, my greatest problem is rabbits. They can wipe out every sprouting
hosta in just one night in early spring. With that many cats I will bet they
keep the rabbit populationdown. With rabbits you can start some attempt to
keep them away and the hosta usually recovers, with voles the plant is
history.
