Re: Lythrum salicaria

I have a form of L.s. 'Mordon's Pink', which was a hit at the 1995 convention
and grows back each year to the same size it was in 1995. It stands about 6
feet plus and is a gathering spot for bees and butterflies. Virginia
considers it invasive but have not prohibited it yet. I was told that it is
only invasive if it gets 70 plus inches of moisture and has "wet feet" for
most of the year -- where mine is it gets about 60 do to watering and it
drains quickly.

Hope this helps.
