There are actually two meetings coming up; 10/20 and 11/02.
This Sunday, 10/20, is a mini-symposium on the management of foliar
nematodes, co-hosted by the Hosta Hybridizer's Group and The Michigan Hosta
Society. The featured lecturer is Professor Parwinder Grewel, Ohio State
University, speaking on the "Life cycle and management of foliar nematodes on
hosta." There will also be a panel discussion moderated by Doug Beilstein,
with invited participants Eddie Barrow, Professor Grewel, Rob Lamlein, Van
Wade, and Jim Wilkins.
When: Sunday October 20, starting at 10:30 AM. Professor Grewel at 11:00AM.
Panel discussion at 12:45 PM. Q&A at 1:45PM. Bring your own lunch.
Where: Morris J. Lawrence Building of Washtenaw Community College, Ann
Arbor, Michigan.
The Fall Meeting of the Hosta Hybridizer's Group is Sunday, November 3, at
10:30 PM. Location is the Matthaei Botanical Gardens, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Invited lecturer is Jim Wilkins: "A Hybridizer's Hodgepodge." This meeting
will also feature the Group's annual seed exchange.
