I fully agree with George about the fact that plants strive to make
the whole cyclus or to formulate it another way: Most late bloomers
and their offspring stay green late eg longipes rupifraga kinds
Another way to stay healthy late is when you have provided them
late in the season with new food or soil. They often continue
growing for a longer time.
