Glen and list,
How much different is using these 2" x 2" plastic bags vs. using the business card size manilla envelopes? I use envelopes but, as a precaution to keep the moisture content from dropping too far, I put the individual packs in a large, semi-air tight, plastic container.
The manilla envelopes are readily available at office supply stores and fairly cheap. I suppose the plastic bags may be a little better, but is the difference enough to adversely effect Hosta seed? This is a real question, not a rhetorical one--I really don't know. :-)
Without a moisture meter, the only thing left is the experience of folks who have been doing this a lot longer than I.
