I have a couple of questions about 'Purple Lady Fingers'. I think I remember
someone saying that clausa would produce pollen under the right conditions;
and this must be correct because Mark Zilis says that Bob Savory told him
'PLF' is a hybrid of longissimas and clausa. 1. Does anyone know what
conditions would induce it to produce pollen? and 2. I cut open some blooms
of 'PLF' looking for pollen, but couldn't even find anthers. Yet today I
noticed seed pods forming. How did this happen?
