In most plants the presence/absence of anthocyanins is controled by
dominant complimentary genes. Then there are genes to determin which
specific anthocyanin and genes to deternmin which specific glycoside
of the specific anthocyanin. On top of that there are dominant
inhibitor genes which may be complimentary genes. Just because you
self a white flower and get all white flowers doesn't automatically
mean that white flowers is a recessive trait. The inheritance of
anthocyanin pigmentation is hardly a "simple" trait, although you can
make it appear as a "simple" trait by making all the other genes
homozygous.
