pelargonium echinatum

hi folks

if I leave P echinatum dormant until March/April will it come to any =
harm? I accidentally knocked it out of it's pot and see it has a tuber. =
These have been dormant since August or there about. I know it's winter =
growing but saw them growing in Dublin Botanic garden throughout the =
summer and would like to change their habit. It would be easier for me =
to have them grow in the summer months
