Cascades or Alpines

Laurie,
According to The Random House Book of Indoor and Greenhouse Plants,
Volume 1, by Phillips and Rix, page 180 and 181, Cascades are generally
smaller and less creeping than the ivy leaved pelargoniums. Ivy leaved
are dderived mainly from teh wild species Pelargonium peltatum. The
cascades are possibly crosses iwth Pelargonium acetosum. These would
include the 'Decora' plants raised by Bury in 1970's, 'Fiesta' and
'Le'Elegante' which is a form of P. peltatum. The 'Mini Cascades' were
raised by Fischer in Germany. I am only finding them listed in various
catalogs as Ivy Geranium types. Would also love to know more.
