Astrid,
You are talking to the woman who has a dog that eats full grown angels and
cuttings (and the pots for that matter!) and whose cats alternate between
using the pots of seeds as a small circular litterpan or as a source of slight
crispy greens to stimulate their appetites. Nothing is sadder than a seedling
that has been grazed down to its little pale green stem and all the leaves and
growing point are gone. No matter what promises you make to the plant gods,
it dies. Slowly but with great finality. I have every confidence that your
seeds will do wonderfully for you. And if you do happen to lose some
varieties, you just get more seeds and try again. Now, if you want a
challenge, I'll ship you a dog to keep you company while you work on your
plants. A lovely dog. Will not give you any problems by being a finicky
eater either.
