OT BIO - Paul Tyerman


Howdy All,
	I remember Jan mentioning that we should all introduce ourselves so here
goes......

	I am a rabid gardener (it's gone past avid to rabid (i.e foaming at the
mouth) in Canberra (The Capital of Australia).  I grow many different
things and have 5 gardens (I rent two, plus my own, my sister's back yard,
and another area).  My main interests are in Irises and rare bulbs (if any
of you out there grow bulbs or species irises and have seeds at any time
PLEASE let me know.  What you regard as common may be rare over here.  Sigh!).
	I have a few daylilies but not a lot.  I particularly like the miniatures
and the purple ones.  The spidery forms leave me rather cold...... I much
prefer the round and full ones.  I would rather like to build up my
collection of miniatures and one of these days when I win the Lottery I'll
probably get everything I want.

	I have around a dozen daylilies but would have a lot more if I had the
space and time.  I run a garden maintenance and plant sales business which
I started up early this year.  Unfortunately itr has rained for the last
wonth so finances are REALLY low at the moment.  I've just started selling
plants at one of the local markets so that'll help.

	I live in zone 8 so we don't get serious cold (although its serious enough
for us) with a hot summer and cool moist winter.  Temperature range around
-8'C to 40'C-ish.

	I'm basically a plant addict!!  That pretty well sums me up.  I pretty
well grow anything at least once!!  If its pretty then I never get rid of
it, hence the 5 gardens!!  Now I just need someone to officially lengthen
the day by about 8 hours so that I can fit everything in.
