My
newest favorite which I bought this year is. Coming up Roses; Hager 1989.
I also found that in the AHS 1997 Popularity Poll it was the favorite listed for
Region 7 which covers Arizona, California, and Nevada.
Of my older ones I have
one I would love to identify. A friend gave it to me almost 20 years ago
and told me that her Mother had it for around 30 years growing in their home in
Michigan. I have taken a picture of it. It is difficult to
discribe. It is not a fast multiplier but it gives me flowers over a long
period of time.
Here
goes for a description. It has 9 petals. I think that is what I counted
this morning when I was taking the pictures. Some are double on top of and some
of singlel. The color is orange gold with fuscia insides that run
from dark to lighter streaks of deeper pink. It is a lovely day lily. In the sun
there is a slight sparkle that you can see on the darker part of the
fuscia. I hope my picture comes out because I would love to identify it
but it probably won't be possible. I also have to learn how to put a
picture in. I have the program but have never used
it.
