Like any hybrid the daylilies could be either spectacular or real dogs,
no way to predict. You just have to select out the best from what comes
up. A lot of course depends on the parents. Seeds from Stella will
probably look a lot like Stella. I've found they sometimes bloom the
after the first winter, definitely the following year. If they haven't
bloomed by the then they probably aren't worth keeping.
I enjoy doing seeds simply because you don't know what you may get. I
doubt I'll ever find anything really outstanding in my seedling patch,
but there were a couple of nice ones.
