Re: [ENABLED] Making websites accessible
As a blind user of computers that use speech I use both Eudora
for win95 and a dos offline mail reader for mail sometimes.
Many blind people are still in the dos environment for whatever
reason, these speech programs run $700 sometimes, and the type
of message mentioned below is unreadable and not usable by a
blind person using a text e-mail program. I know when I receive
any html formatted mail I have to delete it as it is too
annoying to sit there and read html to get the message. I just
thought I would pass this on as I deal with it firsthand. I
personally prefer a text e-mail which cites the URL where I can
obtain more information. Unless specifically mentioned one can
not assume that a blind person is functioning in the windows
operating system.
