Hi gang:

My name is Tom Baccanti and I am a blind individual who lives in
Anaheim California.  I live with my guide dog, Lolly, who is a
nine year old black female lab.  she is my constant companion
and never lets me out of her sight for more than two minutes.

I would like to garden as I have a nice patio with my apartment.
 I also have a beautiful window box that faces west and I have
not been able to find anything that will exist in there for
long.  We have had a very un seasonal hot and humid summer this
year though.  and it is 98 here today in November 2.  Just
imagine that one.

I also have 3 african violets in my kitchen window and those I
have had for about 4 years now.  I would like some tips on
either of these situations and mostly I am just interested in
hearing and reading all about other peoples interests.

Oh and BTW:  I run and ma list owner on 2 other lists on St.
Johns for blind folks.  One is called blind-etc, the everything
else list and the other is  blind-issues, a debate list on
general topics relating to the blind and their daily lives.
