Button fern is Pellaea rotundifolia family Adiantaceae, but there are 
other Pellaea species sometimes sold.  These include P. atropurpurea, 
P. calmelanos, P. falcata, P. paradoxa, P. sagitata,  P. ternifolia
and P.viridis.  Only P. rotundifolia is truely button fronded, the 
others tend to look more like Holly Ferns and Brakes.
