[INDOOR-GARDENING:305] Growing ginger

I've decided to attempt to grow ginger in a pot indoors.  It is the edible
variety, and I simply stuck a piece of the rhizome in a pot with potting
soil formulated for tropical plants.  It has sprouted, and the plant is
growing well.  Has anyone ever attempted to grow the grocery variety of
ginger inside?  I'm interested in finding out if it will flower and what
color the flowers will be.
