Ferns need high humidity. You can thin them out a bit by cutting out brown
fronds. Don't allow them to dry out. You sort of have to think about
treating it like it was in a shady, humid forested area. I live in the
Pacific Northwest (Washington, USA) and they grow wild in those areas. But I
grew up in the South (Louisiana) where everyone has them on their porches.
No direct light, but lots of humidity! Hope this helps.
