The virus is in the message. By passing the warning along, you are
perpetuating the virus. It is more of a lame joke than anything else.

You cannot get viruses from e-mail. Binaries sent as attachments may
contain viruses, but they need to be in the object code your processor
understands, and they need to be loaded to infect your computer. Not all
computers use the same processor, after all. Any binaries I receive from
untrusted sources go directly in the trash. Others are vetted by
Disinfectant before they get looked at.

Microsoft Word binary documents may contain viruses that affect other Word
documents (one reason I refuse to upgrade - Microsoft is very cavalier
about the security of their customer's computers), but you do need to open
the document using Word for the problem to occur. Again, if in doubt,
attachments go directly to trash.
