Tom, Your plant does sound like a creeping fig. I know they do extremely
well outdoors in the Houston area in light shade. The humidity there is
higher than the Austin area and probably doesn't get quite as cold, either.
So, as a houseplant I would give it good light in the winter, average
amount of water and lots of humidity. It is not a demanding plant
otherwise, so "normal" fertilizer would do. It propagates well from
cuttings. It can be trained on trellis and as a topiary. Cindy in Lavaca
