I haven't been getting any messages from Indoor Gardening either (not
much from most of my gardening lists). Must be the holidays.
To fill up the empty spaces here, I'll just mention whats been going on
plant-wise here:
My wonderful husband is building me a lighted plant stand for Christmas.
The wood and lights have been bought, and he's starting on it this
weekend. He's almost as excited about the project as I am. I recently
joined the local African violet club and have had a lot of trouble resisting
the plants people bring every month. Now I have no reason to say no! :-)
I'm trying my hand at paperwhites for the first time. Their scent is so
rich and sweet and I've always wanted to try growing them. So I've got
a pot of sprouted bulbs that are looking good so far. If anyone has any
tips on growing them to bloom I'd appreciate it.
Not much else going on...I have some nice new growths on my baby
cattleyas and I'm hoping they'll bloom....someday. All my plants are
doing well, even my outdoor plants are still fine with this unseasonable
weather we've been having. Might just be able to keep them through
the winter.
