In my experience oxalis are floppy anyway. If they are still wilted looking
stick your fingers down into the soil at the base of a stem and see if the
rhizome or bulb is still firm. If it's mushy you might as well discard it
but I can't think why this would be.
I always tried to keep my oxalis growing year round but read that they need
a dormant period. Last fall I dug some O. triangularis rhizomes I had in
the garden. They have just been sitting dormant in a berry box in the
basement and are still as firm and pink as when I dug them. It's time to
pot them up and get them going for the summer again.
