Just checked the Am. Hort. Soc. Encyclopedia of Plants for a pic, but
unfortunately there is no picture given, only description: Callisia
fragrans (chain plant) Related to Tradescantia. Stoloniferous, succelent
perennial with with 2-ranked, elliptic to lance-shaped, shiny light green
leaves, purple beneath, and to 10 in. long. (Term 2-rank is defined as
'arranged in opposite pairs along a stem.)
Not sure that sounds like a rosette or a spider plant...?
