Re: furnace stopped


Here is a suggestion from a person that grows alot of african violets.

I have no experience with 'frozen'violets, but I believe I
would first of all cut off any damaged leaves to avoid a fungus from
rottening leaves- as far back as the crown. Then I would place what's
left of them in some type of terrarium, a plastic box with a cover, or a
makeshift enclosure with saran wrap to keep humidity around the plants,
place them in a relatively warm area under lights, and see if they don't
recover! Perhaps withhold fertilizer for a while, just give them plain,
lukewarm water to avoid any additional stress. I sure don't qualify for
advice on this subject, but that's what I would do!
