new subject: neomarica

Hello Group,

Anyone grow neomaricas? They are known as apostle plants in some of the
books. I have two huge pots one neomarica gracilis, one neomarica northiana.
Northiana is intensely fragrant.

I lost n. longifolia and and a blue one who's name I cannot recall.

Longifolia is yellow, it is comon in Florida in gardens. I was given a few
stalks in Costa Rica two years ago and put them into a glass of water in my
ship room. That plant (one day blooms as most irids) bloomed for two weeks.
I wrapped it in a wet paper towel and flew it home to New York where it
continued to bloom for several more weeks.

Neomarica blooms indoors in upstate New York in February.
