I have some plants grouped on plastic crate (meant to be a diffuser for
fluorescent lights in ceilings).  if I keep water in the tray underneath, with
or without pebbles, the humidity increases dramatically. I've measured this
with a hygrometer.  Of course, the humidifiers are great too.  Joyce
