Epsom salt
Hello!
I checked the web site you gave, Harry and found the following when I
asked about epsom salt. I had seen it recommended for AVs on another
page, but the concentration wasn't given.
Roger fertilizes these lucky odontoglossums year round with Schultz
20-30-20 powder (1 teaspoon per gallon via a proportioner) at every
watering. The phalaenopsis get the same regimen except for an addition
of Epsom salts (2 tablespoons per gallon) in mid-August until September
15 (or October 1 "if it stays warm"). All the plants are watered about
once weekly.
Since epsom salt is Magnesium Sulfate, it should give an acidic
solution. Has anyone tried this on AVs? At this concentration?
