Hi Bev:
Welcome to the list. I live way on the other side of Iowa -- Marion, next to
Cedar Rapids. I've been on this list a year; it's fun and educational.
The easiest way I know to find an American Begonia Society in the
Omaha/Council Bluffs area is to contact John Ingles, member secretary. His
e-mail address: ingles@humboldt1.com
I'm attempting to organize an ABS chapter in east Iowa and have used his
help.
I have a basement plant room with a light setup. I grow African violets,
episcias and other gesneriads; begonias (especially the rhizome varieties);
cacti/succulents; pelargoniums (geraniums); and a few tropical plants. I
make living wreaths, dish and bottle gardens and topiary, most of which I
sell.
