Know what you mean..How come most of our traditions that celebrate life
involve stuffing yourself til you just want to DIE!?!

Have fought the Groundhog Wars for years, trapped dozens. Try baiting with
apple halves, and also, use the large trap. They seem to be less reluctant
to enter a big one. (Course, like with the hibiscus, your Yankee 'hogs may
be different from our hillbilly ones ;-) Be sure not to leave the trap set
after dark. Groundhogs are not nocturnal, but there are a lot of beasties
that are, that you'd probably rather not find sitting in your trap in the
morning in a real bad temper!
