And a Good Time is Had by ALL.
What kinds of herbs are you growing? This year I started creeping thyme
from seed and have since bought a dwarf lavender, a lavender thyme, and a
lemon creeping thyme. The last three I am growing indoors for a while at
least. The other I planted outdoors along with a couple of wooly thyme that
are looking splendid between paving stones at my back door. This is my first
year for herbs except for the catnip I grow indoors most of the time for my
cats. Do you grow them for food or for the fragrance? So far all my herbs
are for fragrance as I am not really into cooking.
**********
I am growing, indoors, from seed, Chives, Dill, Sweet Basil, Curled Parsley,
Curly Mint, Greek Oregano, and Hot Peppers. I was growing Cilantro but it
suddenly died.
Outdoors I am growing Peppermint and Sunflowers but the Sunflowers are
reedy.
I only grow things I can eat. I started growing these things for the first
time this year.
I am in a 5/6 Zone along the Ohio River.
I also grow sprouts which I find very satisfying. I eat home grown sprouts
almost every day. I also have an new aloe but I have not yet grown attached
to it.
I also have a Prayer Plants which has moved around with me. It just
celebrated its 25th birthday.
