I guess most of you indoor gardeners are gardening outdoors now! My only
garden is my windowsill, so I'm still going. My herbs are going well,
and my cherry tomato is setting fruit (I'm so thrilled). But I do have a
question.
I always read about how easy it is to grow radishes. Pre-schoolers grow
radishes. They grow in about three weeks. So why can't I grow radishes?
I've been trying this for months. I've given them rich soil. I've given
them light soil. I've given them plenty of water, and tried giving them
less (though I'm sure they need plenty). They've been right next to that
tomato that is setting blossoms & fruit, so they should have enough sun.
They grow beautiful foliage. Lots of healthy green leaves, but when I
pull them up, no *radish*!
I thought these would be a lovely addition to salad greens, but what can
I possibly be doing wrong? Any ideas? I really start with no knowledge,
and books are not helping me here.
Thanks for any help.
Anne
