I just put two windowboxes in my Seattle apartment windows. In them, I
planted a very haphazard assortment of seeds and bulbs (daffodils, tulips,
hyacinths, crocosmia, freesia, anemone, lavender, and others ...).
I've heard that some bulbs (like irises) will multiply and bloom year after
year; are there others that do this? Or are most bulbs just a one-year
thing? How do you know? And what do you do with the one-year ones after
they've bloomed -- just throw them away?
This might just have to be a learning experience for me, but I'm already
apprehensive about not knowing what to keep and what to toss after the
blooming season(s).
Any info is appreciated!
Thanks,
Heather
