primrose problems

Hello!

Everyone on the list is growing beautiful and rare plants, so it's a bit
embarrassing to ask for help in dealing with basic primroses (primula?).  I
love these plants, but after about a week mine always stop blooming.  What
am I doing wrong?  I keep the plant(s) pretty cool and the soil (mostly)
moist.  What should I be doing instead?
