GrowIt MkII is an excellent DOS program for the
gardener. Use the friendly interface to choose the
right plants for your garden. It includes databases
for bulbs, climbing plants, ground covers, hedges,
shrubs, and trees. The entries for each plant
detail the botanical name, common name, climate
preferences, light requirements, size, foliage
type, planting and flowering information, special
uses, and a brief description. A landscaping module
includes tips on using each type of plant, and a
maintenance section provides you with information
on buying plants, fertilizing, pests and diseases,
and much more. You can also print plant
information, and search for specific plants by
either their scientific or common names.
Registration provides more databases, plant
graphics, and other enhanced capabilities. GrowIt
MkII is a well-executed program that will help you
design your dream garden in no time at all.
