cuttings or wait?

I returned home a few days ago after a nearly 3-month absence and discovered
the plant sitter had not run my light setups regularly. As a result, the
stems of pelargoniums I had intended to use for cuttings are too spindly and
very light-colored.

Should I attempt to grow from a few cuttings or just cut the plants back and
take cuttings next autumn or the following spring?

Your advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
