RE: Squirrels

They're little brats, aren't they? :) Our apartment neighbor feeds squirrels
at his windowsill, and they in turn stop at our windowsill and eat the
plants in my windowbox. They love primroses and tulip heads -- mine were
decimated.

What works for me is plain old cayenne pepper -- a past suggestion from a
fellow list-member. I mist the flowers (so the pepper will stick), and put a
pinch of cayenne pepper into the very center of each one (or wherever you
notice they like to eat). One spicy mouthful, and the squirrels stay away.
Just be sure to reapply the cayenne pepper to new flowers, and after it
rains.
