Linda-I have one too. It's one of the plants I don't pay much attention to!
Water when it's dry, don't put it in sunlight and enjoy. Mine is the
pregnant onion. My students love to pick the bulblets off and plant and
nurture them. Pretty foolproof for children and a great way to introduce
them to plant care! The only problem with mine is scale--every spring it
becomes covered, and that's when it's put outdoors for the summer. The
scale disapprears pretty much on its own, with a little help from dish soap
and alcohol. Good luck!
