It's been so long that I was wondering if I was still
subscribed...Guess I am. My house plants are on vacation in the yard and
feeling really fine!
I'm a novice orchid grower. I know mine need to be divided and
repotted because the new growth is tipping over the pots. I'm reading the
*potting of mature plants* chapters in "Orchids As House Plants" by Rebecca
Tyson Northern. It's clear and easy to understand, but I can't find Douglas
fir bark or tree fern. Is there something else that can be substituted?
Pine bark, cypress bark, and hardwood bark are available. What could I use
in the place of tree fern?
