AV question

Hello Everyone!
and Happy Spring!
(of course, in St. Louis it's going to hit almost 90 degrees today!)

We recently moved into our first house and I've been a bit distracted
unpacking and all. Finally I noticed that the outer leaves on 2 of my
once most beautiful and one variegated African Violets are turning
brown around the edges and then falling off. They do not dry out but
they are not rotting quite like in crown rot (experienced that once
before) which seemed to progress rapidly, this happens very slowly.
I've been very careful with the watering, no cold water, from the
bottom, not too much (in clay pots).,etc..

They are now in an east window. In our apt. they wintered in a west
window. (We couldn't find a house that we could afford, etc... with a
lot of south windows ----- I tried!!)

Is this crown rot? I've only lost one other AV to this about 2 years
ago. This browning is occurring in 3 of my 8 plants.

Thanks for any advice,
Kris
