Ferns

I realize that this is mostly a list for indoor growing, but I'm hoping
someone will be willing to help anyway--

I've gotten an ostrich fern that I will be planting outside, in the next
couple of weeks.  Its small now, but I understand it will get much
bigger.
Anyway, I'd like to know if any fern experts out there have any culture
suggestions.  I've never grown a fern outdoors before.

All I know so far is the general stuff-- rich soil, moist, and shaded.
The spot I have chosen will get partial shade, and I'll have to amend
the soil, I think, before planting.
