My plants really have started growing, despite the fact that the sun seems
to be on vacation. It is light now almost 24 hours a day but no sunshine.
However, one of my amaryllises bloomed unexpectedly a second time. That was
a real treat!
I put my dwarf banana in a bigger pot and it seems to be feeling better!
The small piece of Swedish ivy that I found broken off of a plant at the
nursey has taken off and become a nice-sized plant of its own. No blooms
yet on my Hoya tricolor but it hasn't gotten any sun, so we'll have to wait
and see.
But the biggest news is that my husband and I have become house owners and
I'll finally have the room to take care of plants and have growth lights
and so on. The is a wonderful fruit cellar where I can now have all those
plants I've wanted to have but couldn't because they have needed a chilly
winter. And the yard is big enough to have a nice garden but not too big so
i would be overwhelming!!! I'm so excited! Only drawback is that we will
now be living only 30 miles south of the Arctic Circle so only really hardy
stuff grows this far north. My fingers are itching already!!
