[INDOOR-GARDENING:409] ADMINISTRIVIA: POSTPONEd list mail

Some people have asked why they sometimes get a message saying their list
mail has been postponed when they haven't made a request.

Your subscription may be set to postpone either automatically or by me for
the following reasons:

	- there is no Internet route to your host and your mail is bouncing
	- your host is refusing connections and your mail is bouncing
	- there is a local configuration error and your mail is bouncing
	- your account is over quota and your mail is bouncing

Bottom line, it's because your mail is bouncing ;-)  It is bouncing for a
TRANSIENT reason, however, so you are not deleted from the list but your
subscription is set to POSTPONE.

You might ask why I would manually postpone a subscription when it's a
transient problem?  Because your account is generating multiple error
messages for each message that is posted to the list and each of these
error messages lands in my mailbox.  It is in the listowner's best interest
to keep the subscription list pruned of both permanent and temporary dud
addresses.  Permanent duds are deleted.  Temporary duds are set to POSTPONE.

To reinstate your subscription, e-mail listproc@prairienet.org with the
message text:  
	set indoor-gardening mail ack

Be sure to 1) suppress your sig and 2) send the message in only plain text
if your mail program is capable of sending HTML.
