I have a nice peace lily that blooms quite often! It was very beautiful at Christmas time and I received many compliments on it! The flowers have since faded away, but are starting to appear again! I keep mine in a clay pot on the hearth of my fireplace. It receives sun from a southern window, but from a distance of about 6 feet. It is also closer to the floor, where the temperatures are a bit cooler. I water the plant when the soil is dry, and about once a month place it in the kitchen sink and drench it with water and wipe the leaves to remove the dust. I lightly feed it with Miracle Grow every time I water. Perhaps your plant is too wet, and receiving too much light? -----Original Message----- From: Carl Gustafson [SMTP:carl.gustafson@cbis.ece.drexel.edu] Sent: Tuesday, May 11, 1999 4:06 AM To: indoor-gardening@prairienet.org Subject: [INDOOR-GARDENING:431] Re: Peace Lily >Hi! My neighbor has one, and leaves it with us when she goes away. It always flowers under our care, perhaps because of a change in watering or temperature. Carl
