Welcome Barbara! I have always wanted to start orchids, but I live in the high desert- too dry for such an undertaking?? Molly (New Mexico) ---------- From: Barbara Przadka[SMTP:barbara@ntsource.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 03, 1998 11:33 AM To: indoor-gardening@prairienet.org Subject: correcting the message As you can see I'm brand new in using the computer. I hope that this time I solved the problem I had earlier with sending mail to this list. I had house plants all my life but lately (since '86) I grow orchids and cacti. I have about 40 phalenopsis and 8 paphiodilums indoor under lights and 25 or so cattleya type outdoors in spring, summer and fall. For winter I have to bring them in (poor things). I don't have room for them under lights so they have to suffer by the windows. They are doing fine and bloom reliably every year. As for cactus- I have maybe 20 and they also summer outside as long as possible. Some of them bloom too. I wonder if anybody on the list have the same interests as I do? Can't wait to hear from you. Barbara.
