it's cold in montana....

I just wanted to let you know that I didn't get your hoyas sent out today. I
will wait until next Monday. The weather man has predicted possible SNOW
tonight. Oh yuk!!!
Our nights have been pretty cool, dipping down into the 30's. I think the
hoyas stand a better chance of making it to your place if I wait out this
little bit of nasty weather.
One of my little stapliads is just about ready to bloom. It is suppose to be
one that doesn't smell so bad unless you put your nose right in it. Not like
the other one I have that smells the whole room up. Such of a neat flower but
boy oh boy makes your eyes water it's so bad. I will let you know on the
little guy when it blooms. Not too much going on with the hoyas, this time of
year everything seems to really slow down. Maybe next year some of my fall
blooming hoyas will be mature enough to bloom. There is a gal that belongs to
one of the Hoya Societies that I do and she was saying how she took some wild
clematis and she boiled it and then wound it around her windows and now she
is going to train different hoyas to crawl on it. I thougt that was a great
idea. I don't have any wild clematis though...
I just got a few new hoyas from Michael Miyashiro in Hawaii and they are
really some different looking ones let me tell you. the one has this big long
name imbricata var basisubcordata, it has round leaves about the size of a
silver dollar with little white specks on them and they fold up like a taco
shell around the stem. I hope I can get it to grow. Another one has 1/8 "
wide and about 4" long and called a H.teretifolia, I got this one to root 
in a ziploc bag now I just need to figure out what kind of media to grow it
in. Well I will chat later.
