I always cut my Mandevilla and Thunbergia grandiflora back to about 6", pot
them up and bring them in to a bright window to overwinter. They grow a lot
of lank growth but I just keep cutting it back. I see one I left out (a
duplicate) is not frozen yet although the impatiens are seriously damaged so
it would probably be all right in the garage. I would root a cutting for
insurance, though and keep it in the house. Cuttings root easily in
vermiculite.
