This time last year people gave some great descriptions of soaking their
pots in tubs of insecticidal soap.  I don't remember the ratio of soap to
water, but I do remember someone describing  this procedure:  Have two large
garbage pails, one with soapy water, one empty.  Immerse the plant until all
bubbles stop coming out of the soil, then drain the plant over the empty
garbage can.  The drained off water is reused.
